Discovered by the research pipeline with at least one public source. Shown in the registry, not yet independently verified. Treat as a lead, not a fact. A tier-one record carries no badge at all — the absence is the signal.
2. Source-verified
A human editor has reviewed the record against at least two independent public sources. The evidence is stored and available on request. This is the default bar for appearing with a badge.
3. Self-verified
The organisation has claimed its profile and confirmed or corrected its own information. Rolling out — claim links appear on profiles and are marked SOON until the flow opens.
4. Credentialed
Holds an official credential we have confirmed: Dubai AI Seal certification with its tier, a Dubai AI Licence, or an equivalent registry match. The strongest tier.
How tiers behave
Higher tiers replace lower ones — a record shows its strongest confirmed status, not a stack of them. Cards show at most three badges; the rest appear on the entity’s profile.
A tier is never sold. Sponsorship and featuring are visually distinct from verification and never affect it.
The verification filter in the directory offers only the tiers currently in use, so it never presents a filter that returns nothing.
